  PERSONALITY    lin appears to be quite solitary. perhaps also aggressive to those she does not trust. she's a quiet soul, opting to be a wallflower over a socialite. she's logical and analytical, but over-confident and prone to aggressive outbursts. beneath a steel shell, she's just a frightened wild animal, loyal to a fault to the holder of her leash.  INTERESTS    in her free time, lin will opt for reading lengthy educational tomes or meditating by trickling streams. she likes sweets and small children and animals. adversely, she avoids intense smells and any form of transportation. she dislikes nicknames.

  appearance    unkempt black hair, hastily and unprofessionally chopped into uneven layers framing her face. her eyes are downturned and droopy, eyes a milky silver. her ears are long and pointed, tail thick and half the length of her body, both incredibly well taken care of. her frame is slight and built for agility and speed, not power. she has a spatter of freckles across her cheeks and her pupils can change into slits from watered down keeper lineage in her blood. canines are sharp and often press into her lips.

both her older sister figure and boss, eyja holds the leash to lin's collar. she is lin's primary focus and she will listen to eyja's command without fault.

lin's twin sister and the catalyst for her life transformation. she was murdered as a child, but haunts lin like a ghost who will never rest.

† mercenary work

as a mercenary, x'linya has made a little bit of a name for herself in underground circles. she will commonly be known as "bloodhound" but after an informational leak, will reemerge under the pseudonym of "phantom". she offers a variety of services to those who are willing to pay the right price.

† aether scent

x'linya has an unusual ability of aether scent. because of this ability, she's well known for her tracking abilities. this means she can also navigate while visually blinded. she has her shortcomings with her aether scent, however, and can become easily overwhelmed in large groups and places with strong smells.

† gridanian, eorzean

x'linya is not native to the far east and therefore she will often find herself coming across behaviours or culture differences that she doesn't understand. additionally, she'll be curious if her conversational partner is from gridania as well. she's an eager student and likes to learn all types of information when given the chance.

† loner

x'linya will often be caught in spaces where she's alone. you can find her meditating near streams, decompressing at the alcove in shirogane, meandering the beaches or piers in the middle of the night, and even crawling along the rooftops during kugane night markets to people watch where the sound is lesser and the breeze is nice.

† blood hound

x'linya often acts as the mercenary bloodhound dispatched by her handler. she's wild and untamable, but her handler has a knack at encouraging her back into line of her own volition. most likely the jobs that people find lin on are dispatched to her by this handler.

† drink and drugs

while she tries her best to be behaved for her boss's sake, x'linya is a little too easily siphoned into some less savory behaviours. she can be convinced into wanton violence, heavy drinking, and drug use. she's a feral creature only playing the game of domestication, but will show her colours if given the correct prompting.
